Under the Tree

Leaf 61 – Homeward Bound

 

Re-visiting my hometown, recalling childhood roots in leafy suburban London ...

 

 

ONE AFTERNOON

 

Pausing on the path,

peering across the field; 

remembering – 

thirty years or so before:

 

Me and my pals,

sitting under that same tree,

skipping school in the sunshine, 

playing cards, and killing time – 

day-dreaming of the future.
