First Frost

Leaf 353 – Reflections

Originally written in response to a #whistpr prompt to write a poem using the word ‘weave’ on Bluesky, I suppose this poem reflects my archaeologist’s inner eye.

Daub fallen from wattle,

withies begin to unweave

– first frost of winter.
